West Soward
With a wealth of 37 years in the accounting realm, Mr. West Soward isn't just a CFO; he's a seasoned financial sage who's navigated through import/export, medical publishing, and distribution landscapes. With a BBA in Accounting from Abilene Christian University, his journey began humbly in '83 at a West Texas oil refinery, steadily climbing the ranks to Assistant Controller at Harken Oil & Gas by '89. A bona fide CPA for over two decades, Mr. Soward boasts achievements spanning mergers, operational helm-holding, and systems weaving.
From 2001 to 2020, he was the financial maestro at Preferred Pump & Equipment, a premier Fort Worth-based wholesaler of water well equipment. In 2020, a new year marked a new chapter as he embarked on a quest for entrepreneurial exploits.
Mr. Soward's narrative dances in tandem with his personal life: a college romance with Lori Watlington bloomed into a 40-year journey. Their union nurtured two sons, Lawson and Lane, and kindled cherished bonds with daughters-in-law, Lindsey and Ellen, and the apple of their eye, grandsons Emerson and Arthur. This rich tapestry of professional eminence and lasting kinship underscores Mr. Soward's holistic devotion to excellence.
